  • Communicating what doesn’t feel good to you sometimes can be hard, trust we want to know!

If you don’t like the music, pressure, lotion, anything, speak up! Also if you’re wanting to talk, feel free to do so, if you prefer silence, a good therapist will respect that.

Breathe into discomfort, it can help with expansion and releasing of tense areas. Speak up about pain! Deep tissue may be what you think your body needs, but that doesn’t mean enduring sharp or unbearable pain to achieve results. Sometimes your body needs a different approach.

    communicate if you:

    • Feel the pressure is too intense or not enough.

    • A specific area is more tender than the others, or if a spot is referring sensation to a different body part.

    • you are feeling sharp pain, shooting pain, or burning sensations.

    • If possible, avoid rushing after your session. (We understand that sometimes this isn't feasible!) Make an effort to incorporate more deep breathing into your day, even if that's all you can manage.

    • Include gentle movements in your routine.

    • Ensure your body stays hydrated and well-nourished.

    • Prioritize a restful night's sleep.

    • In some instances, applying gentle heat for 15 to 20 minutes or enjoying an Epsom salt bath can help alleviate soreness.

    • Plan your next massage appointment in advance. Remember, massage is not just a luxury; it’s an investment in your well-being.
